| Welcome to the Yale Class of 1984 Profile Book Web Site! |
June 25, 2009
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION. WE RECEIVED MORE THAN 100 SUBMISSIONS 4 WEEKS AFTER OUR DEADLINE. AS A RESULT, we opted to include these last-minute submissions and delay printing. The Profile Books were completed and delivered to New Haven on May 27th. While this was not the original plan, we have far superseded any Yale reunion class book participation record with 556 classmate updates and ruminations on a variety of subjects and 335 classmate photos. In addition, we have 273 classmates who responded to our very long survey.
If you attended the reunion, you received your Profile Book in your Welcome Gift Bag upon registration in Dwight Hall.
If you were unable to attend the reunion, you will be mailed your Profile Book in the next two weeks.
I do hope that the benefits of a more comprehensive and thought-provoking book will exceed those of having the book into your hands two weeks in advance. But you'll need to decide for yourself!
All the best,
Deborah Devedjian

Dear Classmate,
Congratulations! Welcome to the Class of 1984 Reunion Profile Book site! We’re delighted you have decided to contribute your bio update, narratives, and photo electronically — and also fill in the Class Survey.
The process is eas

y. Plus you can come back to your personal profile to polish up your essay or even add a new child—or grandchild—over the next few weeks!
STEP 1

Please login to the website. If you haven't already established a username and password for the site, go to the "
First-time Signup" page and follow the prompts. This step validates you as a member of the Class of 1984 and allows you to set up a username.
• User Name: This could be one you already use, perhaps the first part of your e-mail address. Use something easy to remember. Then go to the third box to create your password.
• Password: Now, please create your password.
STEP 2

Once you have logged in, you can start updating your information for the Class Profile Book. Please go to the list of links on the left of the page, right under the "Y" logo, and click on "My Profile", or use the button to the right. This will take you to a set of pages about you. You can return to the Profile portion as many times as you’d like as all your data will be stored.
STEP 3

Last is the
Anonymous Class Survey – this is something to which you cannot return.
To preserve the anonymity, we cannot store the data attached to your name, so you must complete the survey in one sitting. The survey will take 30-40 minutes to complete.
Our objective is to "take the collective temperature” of our class. We will ask you to provide your views on career, family, relationships, health, politics, religion, life, and expectations. As a result, many of the questions are personal and ask for self-reflection. The "results” will be presented in an aggregate fashion in the Class Profile Book.
If you have
technical support questions, please email or call Dan Balling at Reunion Technologies:
dballing@reuniontechnologies.com or (609) 924-0925 x1.
And, you’re done! Thank you and congratulations for contributing to what we expect to be the most exciting 25th Reunion Profile Book ever created at Yale!
